Notice Regarding Completion of Transition to Holding Company Structure and Trade Name Change

As disclosed on August 22, 2024 (“Notice regarding company split for the purpose of transitioning to a holding company structure (simplified absorption-type company split), establishment of a successor preparatory company and partial amendment of the Articles of Incorporation (change of trade name and business purposes”) and following the resolution at the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders and the Board of Directors meeting held on September 27, 2024, the transition to a holding company structure and trade name change from “GREE, Inc.” to “GREE Holdings, Inc.” were completed today.

Supported by numerous stakeholders, we celebrated our 20th anniversary on December 7, 2024. In the rapidly evolving Internet industry, where business environment changes are expected to progress at an increasingly larger scale and faster pace than ever before, we have transitioned to a holding company structure to achieve sustainable growth and enhance corporate value. Through this transition, we will accelerate the group’s further growth and business expansion while building a robust management foundation.

The company name will be gradually updated across various media including websites and applications.
